No wonder
Not only has he been our worst president since we recovered our democracy in 1983, Alberto Fernández has now been accused of gender violence against his partner Fabiola Yáñez. Truth to tell, I’m not surprised at all. The ‘Olivosgate’ birthday party in July 2020 comes to mind. While we were all locked up in our houses due to the pandemic eternal lockdown, we all witnessed it. What explanation did Fernández give? He blamed his wife: “My dear Fabiola”/“Mi querida Fabiola,” instead of admitting his own responsibility. Allegations of his domestic violence have in fact been an open secret for a long time. What could we expect of such a hypocrite? I do hope this scandal will mean to Kirchnerism what “Herminio’s coffin” meant to Peronism in 1983: an unforgivable “faux pas,” the end of a very dark era.
