Does anyone believe Alberto Fernández when he states: “I’m being accused of something I haven’t done. I didn’t hit Fabiola. I’ve never hit a woman”; and “I’m seeing you to tell you I did not perpetrate any of these events”? I don’t. Not in the least. He’s lost all credibility. He’s being left alone, reaping his own harvest. And while we’re all mesmerised by this cheap soap opera, five-year-old Loan Danilo Peña is still missing after two months. Does anyone care? A few people, apparently. It’s no longer a cover story. We seem more interested in finding out how many women have gone to bed with the former president than in finding the kid. This certainly speaks ill of us as a society, doesn’t it?
