Is this a nightmare? A scary movie? I don’t think we have ever gone through a global situation such as this one. It reminds me of the mass panic Orson Welles caused when he performed live the prologue of H.G. Well’s novel “The War of the Worlds” over the CBS radio network, on October 30th, 1938. It actually sounded as a news bulletin and described how the Earth, New Jersey in particular, was being invaded and destroyed by Martians. Welles was so believable that the program supposedly caused suicides and heart attacks. But that was fiction, while this damned coronavirus is alive, fast and furious.
Maybe it’s a good time to slow down a bit, realize what’s important and take care of one another, not only of ourselves. There’s no “grieta” here. We’re all equally vulnerable.
