All Argentine politicians suffer from FOMO: fear of missing out. This has been clearly seen these last few weeks. They’re all doing their best to fit somewhere, to get something, to approach someone, however alien that someone might seem. They’ve been running a frantic race against the clock, shamelessly, ruthlessly, unscrupulously. Those left out won’t admit it. “I’d rather not, actually. It’s my choice!”, they say.
Shakespeare would certainly have a feast if he were alive today. So many themes for his plays: ambition, intrigue, high treason, downfall, arrogance, conceit, vanity, pride, haughtiness, greed. So many villains, so many wolves in sheeps’ clothing. Unfortunately, this state of affairs is not fiction, but a crude reality. Sigh…
