‘Pimpinela’ at the pink house
There seems to be a sort of historical curse between presidents and vice-presidents in Argentina. They seldom get on well. More often than not, they are mere political marriages of convenience, like the last administration (Alberto Fernández and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner).
Now there’s a rift between Javier Milei and Victoria Villarruel over the DNU and its Senate debate. They actually remind me of “Pimpinela”, the famous Argentine singing duo, and their well-known songs of couples arguing and breaking up. Their style is certainly appealing as entertainers, but not so in the case of these political leaders, in whose hands lies the fate of the whole nation. It makes all of us cringe, doesn’t it?
Shameful example.
