During the excessive lockdown we Argentines had to endure during Alberto Fernández’ administration, we now find out that –meanwhile- he was having a good time all along. Certain painful episodes come to mind. The former President called surfer Federico Llamas “an idiot who will have to give many explanations”. Rower Ariel Suárez (winner of two gold medals and a bronze medal at the 2011 Pan American Games) suffered a brutal police persecution 4 years ago for going out for a row. 83-year-old Sara Oyuela was quietly sunbathing in Palermo (April 21, 2020) when she was threatened by the local police: “If you don’t go home right now, we’ll have to arrest you”. In the meantime, Alberto Fernández (accused now of domestic violence) was allegedly visited by lots of women at the official presidential residence in Olivos. Looking backwards, the arbitrary and despotic episodes I’ve mentioned hurt much more. He was laughing at all of us. He was mocking us.  Now the one who will have “to give many explanations” is him, the “Great Pretender”. A fraud.
